^ dude. Love your enthusiasm and descriptions for the albums list you have for the day. Glad you are having a great time with your music. I am a man who certainly can bond with that nature. You definitely belong here with the rest of us addicts. A light amount. Had a busy work day, but I still always make time for my Prog. Fates Warning-- Theories of flight. ( as expected. Just getting better with every listen. I think The Light and shade of things may be the favourite track right now off the album. I also find no weakness on this album. The only thing I'm a bit bummed about is that FW didn't use their regular long time A&R guy Bill Metoyer. I really like the way Bill would mix albums and treat Alder's vocals. Jens Bodgren is great with recording Drums, but his albums are too loud. It's all one volume. Loud. Metoyer is a way better DNR guy. Other than that, it's a beautiful album. Matheos also did a great job head manning the overall production. He learned well from the great and wise, Phil Magnotti. APP-- Eye in the Sky. ( had to have another round with this one. ) Marillion-- Clutching at Straws ( I have a very real and special attachment to this album.) Delain-lunar Prelude (EP) : this album is a lot of fun. Symphonic accessible metal done very very well. A sucker punch if you will cause it will surprise you. )

Mythos - Mythos. Woke up at 6am and couldn't get back to sleep, so I thought listening to music and reading might be my option. I have really started to enjoy this album very much this time. Love it! King Crimson - Larks' Tongues In Aspic. Probably my favorite from KC. I found it's not all that far from my Cantenbury and krautrock favorites alike, at times. Henry Cow - In Praise Of Learning. Although it might not seem like it, this makes a great accompaniment for contemplation on a bench beside the seaside. There is so much to be appreciated here! Cosmic Circus Music - Sternenmaskerade. Once again: wow! This is such a masterpiece! Great for rapid walking. You will dive in to deep, distant space with this one! One of my favorites from the Kosmische Musik sub-genre. Lard Free - Lard Free. Another discovery of mine. Lard Fred's fusion of sparkling jazz, electronic music, and psychedelic krautrock sounds incredibly fresh, calming, and purely fascinating. What amazing music! One of the better bands I've heard in weeks! Lard Free - Unnamed. I had this one queued after their debut without knowing it. It's less electronic than their eponymous album, but equally pleasant. This was my day!

Finally got a hold of a real gem.
Fates Warning--- Theories of Flight (2cd edition) ; this album is incredible to me. An instant love at first listen. Doesn't happen often for me. FW rules. Nuff said. Fates warning--- APSOG (expanded edition. Disc 2 only) I can't get the song "In Trance' outta my head. Gorgeous tune. One of the best choruses for an accessible song to me. ) Vanden Plas-- Chronicles PT 2 APP-- Eye in the sky ( god. This is damn good accessibility. No wonder the ratings on here are sh*t for it. It's a lightly dusted Prog album.)

^ I like Sheryl Crow's early stuff but I'm not too familiar with her later albums.

I decided to let some fresh air into my cave: today it was from Alanis Morrisette, Shania Twain and Sheryl Crow. Who's gonna flog me first ?

We won? Just kidding, I wonder when will people shut up about it here I was never able to stomach Linda Martini, there's something about those vocals...

Okay, being on holidays, I probably should cut down on music, but having so much music on my iPod tempts me. Emerson Lake & Palmer - Tarkus.
I did skip a few tracks on side two, not because I don't like them, I
just wasn't in the mood for them. The title suite was killer, though! Can - Tago Mago. Wow. There is nothing better than walking the beautiful, calm, and empty Baltic beach beside the seaside, sometimes stopping to read Jack Kerouac's On the Road and most importantly listening to this utter masterpiece by Can. Harmonia - Musik Von Harmonia.
Another great one to listen to at the beach. The cascading soundscapes
are, at least to me, somewhat reminiscent of the moving waves.

Have a good time and don't forget to try "Future Days" at the beach. I always keep it on my MP3 player for that occasion Today: Øresund Space Collective - West, Space & Love Vol. II (They say it was all recorded in analogue, I'll have to get myself the LP ) Picchio Dal Pozzo - s/t (First listen. I really don't know what to think about it ) Riverside - Rapid Eye Movement (It's fun to read the reviews from 2007, complaining about the direction they took, but for some reason their latest two are highly rated. Expectations can be deceitful ) La Fabbrica Dell'Assoluto - 1984: L'Ultimo Uomo D'Europa (First listen after reading the book, it makes much more sense now )

Until now: Tangerine Dream - Alpha Centauri(best album from Pinky Age of TD, i love it!) Ash Ra Tempel - Schwingungen(Really good, but it not 'clicked' yet, maybe i should give it more listens) Ash Ra Tempel - Seven Up(Now thats a masterpiece!, i've got in love with this album almost instantly!) Walter Wegmuller - Tarot(Really really psychodelic and diverse album, trying to listen to it, but i give up in the middle because it's to big ) Vaults of Zin - Kadath(Very good instrumentals in this albums, remembers me Shub Niggurath so bad, but the vocals are awful)
and many to go today!

I also visited one great record store here in Danzig! It had such an amazing collection of prog rock. Here is the best part: it has Egg's debut on vinyl! An original in mint condition! How much I wish I wouldn't have to sell my kidney to get that one... I ended up buying a great 1974 US copy of Red Queen to Gryphon Three. And I'm extremely pleased with it! I wanted to get Caravan's debut, too, but it was an original pressing, therefore it was awfully expensive.

In honor of Portugal's Euro 2016 win, I've decided to partake some Portuguese prog and have those be my first reviews on the site, which aren't up yet due to some kind of bug. So far I've gotten through: Amaterazu - Amaterazu (Japanophilic post metal power trio, sounds like a cross between Boris and Sleep) Linda Martini - Olhos de Mongol (A surprisingly accesible post rock album with nods to mid-2000s indie and Serge Gainsbourg)
