I really recommend the new album by Moulettes, 'Preternatural'. They're an English kind of quirky art pop/art rock band with female vocal harmonies, cello and bassoon, who have moved into a bigger, proggier (at times), more fuzzed-out sound on this new record- probably particularly of interest to fans of some of the current wave of female-fronted prog-pop bands like Moetar, Bent Knee, etc.
(and from the previous album:)
This stuff is incredible! I can't believe I never heard them before!
Vespero goes Santana!! Nahh it's just the sax and percussion splashes that make me think of ol Carlos. Haven't spun it since I got it though. Maybe it's time for a revisit.
New picks: Amoeba Split - Second Split Our Solar System - s/t (not on PA) psych Méta Méta - MM3 (not on PA) fusion/avant Niechec - s/t (not on PA) fusion
One of my faves this year though has been Dutch band DeWolff's Roux-Ga-Roux. Completely abandoning their slight brush up with prog a little while back, they now seem far more content doing this wonderful mix of psychedelic south Saturn delta blues rock sounding particularly close to Dr. John from back in his Gris-Gris days. Absolute stunner of an album this one!

They have a new album? Cool Looking at the Psych chart, I cleared them one year ago
Oh, and since we spoke about the lack of Italian albums, I listened to Ad Maiora's new album yesterday and it seemed even better than the debut at first listen. Much shorter, quite spacey and there are songs sung in Italian now.

Exactly what I was thinking man! It took me a while to appreciate since I have a problem with long albums, but it is very enjoyable. I would say it's a bit less progressive and I'm not sure it's the right word but more jamy maybe, but it doesn't really bother me in this case.

Everybody else seems to have the new prog stuff well and truly covered here, so I'll not say too much other than suggest an album by the UK electronic act Plaid. Their new one, The Digging Remedy is wholeheartedly recommended for lovers of progressive electronic music that doesn't qualify for inclusion here . Ie, IDM. Think of the more pleasant Aphex Twin music, factor in loads of heavenly chord progressions and you're almost there.

I'm pretty sure they're from Gouveia (the proggiest town here). How are the others by the way?
I listened to both albums released this year by Řresund Space Collective and they are really good, especially "West, Space and Love II": a very cool fusion of Electronic and Raga Rock, like the first one

Yeah, it's pretty easy to find the country of origin but the city is sometimes more difficult.
Most of the others would be variations on psych/stoner but I was going to suggest that you listen to the Montenegro album. They are an instrumental trio and the album was recorded live at a club. The full album is on YouTube.
I don't think I've heard "West, Space and Love II" but I have "Ode To A Black Hole" on my order list.

Indeed, especially if the country is small like mine, many bands think the country is enough
Thanks, I'll give it a listen.
It's certainly more accessible than OTABH. Did you order it on vinyl? I'm not sure if it works well since it splits the song in two.
