I actually like all of this band... only that from IQ I only know The Road of Bones (which I love), from Anglagard I only know Hybris (which I love), and from Opeth I moslty digged non-grunting songs, for I'm not really into that style of singing (though I do love The Drapery Falls). However, I believe I must give my vote to Dream Theater.

Surprised Änglagård doesn't have more votes, but I'd be a liar if I didn't vote Opeth.

Hard to pick one of there bands. All are good, but none of these belongs to my real favourites. I vote for Focus, my fellow countrymen who gave us Focus II (later known as Moving Waves) and Hamburger Concerto.

Renaissance, followed by IQ, Marillion and Dream Theater. Just a bit of Opeth. I don't dig the others.

Is the idea of this thread to name the bands on the list that we do actually like?
In that case the answer for me is; IQ, Marillion and Porcupine Tree |

I am not really into any one of those, but I used to really like Focus at one point.

Yeah, tell-tale 70s head - Renaissance, Focus and Harmonium.

Except couple or more of these bands, I really like at least one album of all bands in the list. The ones I am most into would be Renaissance and Marillion and as between those, an easy vote for Renaissance.

Hmmm....Renaissance , Focus,.... then PT and IQ.
I like the old classic prog more so they always come before the newer ones for me.

Can relate to quite a couple of your dislikes: Porcupine Tree , Riverside,Änglagård, Opeth all not my cup of tea either. But come on, IQ is a gerat band!

There's only one band on there that I don't like and that's Renaissance. Out of the rest my top three would be PT, Anglagard and Riverside.
