A terrible, terrible loss.

@Finnforest - thank you for posting the pictures.  Thought about stopping down there on my way home from work, but I bet by then it will be traffic-stopping.

I was very young, but his album Parade completely blew my mind. Even today it remains my favorite.

RIP Little Big Man and thanks for the Revolution.

I've seen some of the local news clips and I think you are right....traffic will be insane very shortly.

God this just sucks.  Music aside, he was good to the local fans.  Had parties for them at Paisley where he'd perform very intimate sets.  I guess he had a party just the other night to tell the fans he was OK, after the flu scare on the airplane.  I respect the fact that he stuck around this town even after becoming a big shot.  I think that is why the city is going to be heavy with grief this weekend.

Saw him recently on SNL and was blown away, he rocked!  RIP Prince...

It'll get sent there but first of all, RIP.

Some of the stuff he's been doing for the past 15-20 years is actually kinda proggy but the only way you can hear it is to buy the CDs.

Any tips in particular? I only know the early stuff.

^ That is cool.  I did not follow him closely and did not realize he was from that area.  Great to see he kept his ties to that area for the locals.
