Never heard of that TD album. How is it?

I just read your review, it seems really great. It's too bad I can't keep up with his releases Tongue

You'd probably really like `Canyon Dreams', Sam! Despite some dreaded pan-flutes popping up in the opening minute (Argh!! The curse of a million New-Age albums and shopping-mall musicians!), the album dates from 1987 (but not released until the early 90's), so before `Optical Race' and still performed by the trio of Edgar Froese, Christopher Franke and Paul Haslinger. It has several standout moments, I think it's a very strong album. Have a listen:

That Roach one is really good, got a dark psychedelic drowsiness to it, I was very impressed by it. I've oddly been playng it a lot on the drive home from work, which is a bit screwy!

Speaking of not keeping up with him, he's just released two new collaboration albums a few days ago, actually to be released at the end of April, but the orders are already up. Mine's in, surprise, surprise!

Thanks! I'll give it a listen later Thumbs Up

Yes, I read about that because of the Solina in great condition he found Smile I think I'll stick with the ones I have for a while, I still don't think I listened to them enough. Besides, that would probably mean more problems with customs, no thanks! The Spanish store where I bought Girσn's debut has many albums from him, maybe I'll order from there.

By the way, I don't know if you read my remark on the previous page. How awesome is this? Big smile

I know that band are top notch, Sam, just haven't bought any of their albums yet! I'll probably order their latest one when it shows up on a future Syn-Phonic newsletter update.

I should do the same, while the LP is still accessible. It's a shame they won't play here on their current European tour (it actually should be called "Mostly Germany and UK Tour" Tongue), it would be a great opportunity to get their albums.

The TD album is really nice, nothing outstanding but pleasant.

Bwahahaa, oh yeah, that takes me back! Do you still hear that on your work radio every few days?! Remember how much that Fleetwood Mac's `Never Going Back Again' used to do my head in?! That jangly acoustic guitar used to break me!

Why did you had to remind me of that cr*p, Tom? Sick

Yesterday:
Blood Ceremony - Living With The Ancients
Tangerine Dream - Canyon Dreams
Steven Wilson - 4 1/2 (5.1 DTS. "Vermillioncore" is awesome on surrond Thumbs Up)
Gentle Giant - The Power and the Glory (5.1 DTS. I still think Wilson did more interesting surround mixes of GG than of his own albums though.)
Santana - Abraxas
Tangerine Dream - Logos
