I prefer his debut, but this one is right up there for me.

^ Agree 100 % about Pekka
And the Ciccada album is stunning - even features guest Anglagard bassist Johan Brand on the lengthy 2nd track |

They are my two favourites of his. For me B. is a bit ahead for having more memorable tunes & particularly awesome sax work from Pekka Poyry, who was on fire. Edited by Mascodagama - April 02 2016 at 03:55 |

I didn't expect to get the Ciccada album...but once I listened to it on altrocks bandcamp I knew I had to. Definitely a step up from their debut imo.

Truth. This album does seem to have a little more fire and bustle to it, which is never a bad thing.

Honestly I only found it ok. Not bad by any means, of course. I haven't listened to it in forever though...I should relisten...especially at my revelation at TFOM.

Yeah, f**k that! Give me a nice CD or LP I can hold, look at the beautiful cover, enjoy the booklets, read the lyrics, see the instrument lists, etc. Hoarding data on a damn computer pretty much means the music doesn't exist in my mind! (OK, so a little ignorant, but downloads are only great for back-ups and utilizing for playing music on Ipods, phones, etc. Progressive music is easily one of the genres where the listeners actually prize a phyisical version, often all starting with lavish, surreal and eye-catching cover art. |

^ That's a much better answer. Even if I burn it onto a CD and put it into a plastic case I will barely play it since it has none of that

I have about seventy-five downloads on my computer simply because every time I order an album from Bandcamp it comes with a free download. I don't know why I even bother with the download because I've never once opened the file and played anything.
