Was at the Steve Hackett show in Boulder on the night of the final....during the intermission I stepped out to the lobby bar and noticed that a good chunk of the audience had left the show and were glued to the TV set. There were 25 seconds left in the game and.....well, we know the rest of the story. Great ending.....then the second Hackett set. Excitement overload.....whadda night!

I went to Villanova so I feel comfortable taking all the credit for this win.

Amazing game, a classic! After the boring Saturday night games (except for Mickey and the OU game ), this game made up for it.
Was pulling for Villanova as I remember the game 31 years ago when they last won it with ol Rollie as the coach. Lived in Baltimore then and Georgetown was always on TV in that area and the Big East was a Beast then.
Sorry tobacco road....

Bad Micky has about 20 witticisms lined up in regards to that observation... and all 20 would get his ass banned. So...

I love how all these teams have predominantly black teams but universally white cheerleaders.

Bracket pretty much busted since I had Kansas winning it. Syracuse pulled the surprise, their full court press in the second half allowed the comeback plus Va did not look good at the end. NC should advance but you never know. At this point would like to see Syracuse win it or anyone but NC.

^ Ahh...the advantages of not caring about regional sports teams.
(Or the advantages of having local college bball suck)

With Michigan and Michigan State both losing in the 1st round, my interest in the tournament dried up pretty quickly. I've no idea who still stands.

^ I'm still not sure how A&M won! But yes...the late games saved the day for sure.
Sweet 16 action coming up...how many of my final four will survive?

^ Yes, much better games yesterday. Wisc and ND on buzzer beaters.
3 out of 4 still alive for the final 4. Sweet 16 took some hits.
Even though I have NC in the final 4, I do hope Indy beats them. Just want to see some tobacco road suffering...

Gotta say...yesterday was quite the snoozer. But SFA V ND spiced things up today.

I'll be rooting for ya though it could be the kiss of death. Only 1 of my Final 4 picks is still alive. Though the McWaves might have helped against UK. I had IU moving on to the Great 8 (losing against WVU). Get past this one.. perhaps it would be on to the Final 4.

oh hell no. I missed on as many as I hit. I said 16.. not 128 were probably capable of winning it all. I do have UConn beating Kansas next round and advancing out of the South. We seen this from them enough times. The last two times they made the tourny. they won it all. I had Texas out of the West. That is shot to hell. Oregon is WAY overseeded and thought the Pac-10 was vastly overrated (at least I got that right). OU sucks and always has and always will. Shaka is a hell of a coach and thought if they make it to the Sweet 16 they'd go all the way to the Final 4. Also missed big time in the East. WVU. Thought their defense and having been battle tested in the Big 12 would see them to face and beat whoever emerged from the UNC/Kentucky/IU top half. At least my Big12 baby is alive in the Midwest. ISU. Tough team there.. weak region there.
