Jean and I heard of his death in the 8pm news. He was one of the pillars of historically informed performances. He will be sorely missed. R.I.P.

Sad news in Oz, Ross Hannaford Daddy Cool lead guitarist dies at 65 after cancer battle. Australia's favorite rock guitarist and member of ionic band Daddy Cool was inducted into the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) Hall of Fame in 2006. He will be remembered as one of the country's greatest musicians.

I remember how people stated 2009 was horrible, mainly due to the many death of many iconic people (MJ, Billy Mays). This year is even WORSE, especially for the music industry. The 60's and 70;s are getting away from us.......

I know she's not a prog musician, and in fact her most "advanced" musical tastes were along the lines of Neil Diamond, but my sister died last night from cancer, and she was only 60, and dammit, I want to let you all know just how badly I feel.
