^ Thanks, José, but the current photo is not that bad and also "vertical", the one you suggest will be smaller on the band's page, I don't see the improvement here. Additionally, the guy in the right looks (at least to my eyes) better on the current picture.

The cover is from the CD release (1991), I ask advice whether to change to the initial (1989) LP cover

Thanks, done.
You're absolutely right, José. Hope you don't mind if I've changed the cover as you suggest.

^^ Yeah, I am aware of that constraint, Eugene!
But never too much to remember that we must choose "vertical" pictures whenever available, thanks
These last 2 cases were virtually with no option - just a couple of photos online and not all of good quality

The same photo, but not "burned"

Thanks, done.

Too dark, want to try one of these?

Thanks, done.
But I would say both are "too horizontal" and look too small on the band's page.
You probably noticed that only "vertical" pictures (height > width) look good on artist pages, for example this one: http://www.progarchives.com/artist.asp?id=94.

Unfortunately stage photos are usually "wide" while we need them "long". Cry

Just added the following, but PA doesn't seem to resize images very well:
Explosions In The Sky - The Wilderness

Change to this, perhaps?  Still not the clearest image, but better.

Explosions In The Sky The Wilderness

Thanks, done.
But I don't think it looks much better, it seems nothing we can do with such small fonts.

At least I always thought so. Bands have current line-up photos on their own websites (of course if they bother to have a website). Here, on PA, we're not obliged to follow all line-up changes. For example, Deep Purple for the majority of fans is and will ever be Gillan - Blackmore - Lord - Glover - Paice, no matter how good other incarnations are.

Thanks, I've only made a quick search and added the best photo I could find.

The current is so ... bad, that any of these will do better, right?

When you go there consider linking the only page I found, not  the band's but the guitar man & mastermind

Thanks, done.

^ It's probably the other way around, it's me that sometimes may not get your idea  Disapprove
I do insist when see there's something to be learned by me, but when it's irrelevant will not carry on to burden you or anyone around with my peculiarities.

^ José, none of us can know and all of PA bands.

So if you see that I don't get your idea, please explain why you think changes are necessary.

What's wrong with the current picture?

^ What do you mean, Eugene?
The current line-up is 3 gentlemen (it varied over time), the band goes back a few years and these 2 are the core and  founding members;  I understood we would privilege original (ancient) albeit dated band photos, more significant from an archival point of vue.
Share your thoughts on this, please.
Thanks, pal.

[ In my Foobar player I get to include two sets of photos in the library: one specific and contemporary to each album (it is displayed transparentely over the track list while playing) and another linked to the band and displayed in the Bio side window which I tend to choose most recent available - that's my crazy hobby: Geek

^ Where are the other guys?

José, I've just updated the link to Rocket Scientists webpage (you provided it in another thread): http://www.thetank.com/rocketscientists.htm. It mentions more than one person. Confused
