Yeah, hopefully she dies. It'd be great if she dies.
I hope she dies. I can't wait to see on the news that she died. She's also probably a Trump supporter, I hope she dies. |

Excellent ruling today that Justice Dept cannot compel Apple to provide data extraction in a NY drug case and could influence the San Bernardino case. Hats off to Judge James Orenstein.

Congratulations to the great Ennio Morricone for his win, Best Original Score for The Hateful Eight. Incredibly, it is his first Academy Award for a film score and a long, long time coming.

waiting for a respectable time.. as well as actually finishing my morning coffee before cracking open the first beer in celebration of the eradication (hopefully forever) of the Bush name from American Politics...
good riddence... and yeah.. go on thinking your brother protected us... pffff. He and his crew ignored the warnings of 9-11..as well as then launching misguided wars of American Exceptionalism and expansion.. against those that didn't even attack us... god forbid if it had been a democrat sitting in the white house. The GOP'rs in congress would likely STILL be having hearings in congress on it trying to milk it for any political gain. Edited by micky - February 21 2016 at 07:18 |

I read "To Kill a Mockingbird" and all of Eco's novels except "La Misteriosa Fiamma della Regina Loana" ("The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana"). really a hard blow. my favorite Eco novel is "Baudolino" because in it he brings to life many creatures that were mentioned in the "Physiologus", a widespread book in the middle ages in which all kinds of fabulous creatures which were at that time believed to exist are described Edited by BaldJean - February 20 2016 at 01:17 |

Terrible day for literature. Loved Eco. The Name of the Rose and Foucault's Pendulum are such works of art.

A double whammy of tragedy from the world of literature today.
Harper Lee and Umberto Eco have passed away, aged 89 and 84 respectively. |

She'd walk the dog against against of those knuckleheads the GOP can't decide between... but question is. Does she get past Sanders for the nomination. If not... does an old white male northeaster liberal win a general election?... good thing the GOP is off its f**king rocker and the Bush name has been tarnished for all eternity and Rubio is a f**king idiot.... or it would be 1988 all over again... ^ But since Hillary will probably be president, it'll be even worse for the GOP if the Senate forces a delay. Then they get a Clinton appointee and they look bad.

Though the idea sounds nice, I would be too terrified of the possibility, even if it was 0.1 % (which is not, it could be much higher) or President Trump or (worse) President Cruz nominating the next Supreme Court Justice.

It is sad, but in all honesty, the best thing that could happen is that the Republican senators don't do their jobs of confirming a new judge (assuming that Obama puts forth someone who is moderate and palatable to both sides of the aisle) and then come election time, a Democrat is elected president and the Democrats retake the Senate. i.e. the next judge put forth is pretty much the middle finger to the Republicans. It probably won't change a damn thing, but something like that needs to happen to fix our political system. This two party squabbling all the time with no compromising and no doing what is actually best for the people has to end.

Obama should embarrass the Republicans to death, nominate someone who is making them look awful when they deny to do their constitutional job. I've like the "I don't give a f**k" version of Obama so much more than the first-term version and I think is something he could do and would be of benefit even as a rebound to the party
