god that does sound good.

Hot Tazo Chai Tea for me. Umm ummm.  Waiting for the snow and ice to start here. A short work week which is nice but wish it could have been under different circumstances.  Likely snow day tomorrow as the state is saying you will an idiot if you leave the house tomorrow haha and unfortunately a funeral Wednesday for a friend, a retired coworker who passed away Thursday night.

At least he got a few years to enjoy life outside the incredible stress we deal with. Like me he was living under borrowed time. Brought back from death one time on the operating table and more than a few workplace incidents that he shouldn't have probably walked away from.  He was the first to comfort me when I was dealing with the aftereffects of my incident a couple of years ago. Good man David was.  Loved to drink Dickel.. we might even crack open a bottle of that rot gut sh*t in his honor.

^ I hear you Mick--  how I wasn't killed or crippled in a motorcycle accident back in '88 I'll never know; luckily I was young.   On the other hand it's the suffering that makes us who we are, which is hopefully a better human being in every way, or in Charles Bukowski's words "No one who could write worth a damn could ever write in peace".

damn right man.  Clap

you were crazier than me David. I always had a bit of a death wish but never touched motorcycles.  uhh uhhh.

At least when I tried to kill myself when I put myself into a tree at a high rate of speed (last thing I remember was seeing the speedometer at 85 mph) I still had the good sense to be not only in a good solid American built tank of a muscle car... but one that belonged to my roommate LOL

^ Worse-- It wasn't my bike and I wasn't driving.   No helmet either, lucky for me I just shattered my leg and not my head.

^ worse.. I was designated driver home from a party...

thankfully I was the only one hurt..  cut up when the windshield exploded but otherwise walked away.. straight the hospital. My roomate and his girlfriend were so drunk and stoned they failed to comprehend what happened and that that hunk of metal used to be his pride and joy.   Lost a friend over that stunt.

Thumbs Up  That taught him.. I had a linear algebra test the next morning and he came into my room. I was actually studying for once and asked me to go with him to this party.  I didn't want to.. but then he offered me the keys  and he NEVER let anyone drive it.

bad move..

I did actually make my test the next morning.. I probably looked like death... I remember I had a 10' radius of the lecture hall to myself. Those around me moved.. those who entered sat as far from me as they could.
