Surprised that Tampa Bay showed Lovie Smith the door. Heard that Chop Kelley is scheduled to interview with the 49ers, which I don't see working out. Good luck to Cleveland finding a coach with the new weird front office it is making up (though it is fun to see some out of the box thinking...and how much worse can it bode for the browns?) and of course it's general futility.
Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

And of course playoffs begin tomorrow.
My predictions:
Chiefs over Texans (17-13)
Steelers over Bengals (24-20)
Seahawks over Vikings (38-10)
Redskins over Packers (24-21)
That last one is quite the toss up, but if Green Bay shows up like it has been showing up lately I can"t see another outcome. Also, looking forward to the uber cold that will be present in Minnesota. How I wish they would keep an outdoor stadium...

I can't believe I'm saying this but I predict the visitors will win every game this weekend. Washington hasn't beat a team with over a 500 record this year and Minnesota got their ass handed to them by Seattle in Minnesota about a month or so ago. KC's last playoff victory was against Houston in Houston plus I like Alex Smith over any of Houston's quarterbacks. And as a Steeler fan, well I gotta go with them.

The Lions hired Patriots director of scouting Bob Quinn as their general manager. Given the Patriots' history of success, this sounds like a good hire, but I know nothing of these things.

Yeah...I'd like to pick the pack but the O is their thing and it's been average at best of late. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if the packers won. They are the better team and I'd take A-Rod over Kirk any day.

Can it be worse?
But...from what I read, he's been in the big room with the hoodied one so he should at least have some inside knowledge of how and why BB does what he does, from a personnel standpoint. And I can't imagine he'd last in NE for as long as he did if he wasn't good at what he does.
But, as with all things, time will tell.

I thought that Lovie had the Bucs going in the right direction, but rumors suggest they wanted to keep the O coordinator from leaving since he had a good relationship with the QB. Moneyball Browns, interesting....

Good to see another Steeler fan . Steelers defense worries me, they have beat bad in the secondary this year. Packers have not looked good of late, that game to me is a toss up. The rest of the visiting teams look to be poised to win, the Seattle game will be interesting with 0 degree temps...old school football.

Old school football I think will help Minnesota with their running game and defense, plus Beast Mode is out for Seattle. I think all four games will be really interesting. Kansas is out to a quick lead this afternoon.

I can't remember going through such a range of emotions watching a game. I had my thumb on the off button of my remote as they were on fourth down of that final drive just because I was so frustrated they gave up the lead only to be jumping up and down for probably a minute when they hit the field goal. It was hard to get to sleep last night, I was a little pumped.
I think they have a good shot against Denver if Ben is playing if he's not we'll have to rely on Manning being Manning(he has not been good despite coming in that last game to win it).

To be honest no-one in the AFC impresses me that much, they are all flawed, pretty much any of them could make it.
You nailed it right on the head.
I think the Chiefs will beat the Patriots. Most will consider it an upset, but it's not. The Chiefs are a better team right now. As far as the Pittsburgh/Denver game, I think it will depend on the health of Ben and Antonio.
I'm a Steelers fan by the way, so while I'm happy that they won yesterday, I'm not thrilled that they blew a fifteen point lead. They can't play like this next weekend.

Man the Steelers sure do have the knack for dramatics sometimes...we deserved to lose, but whew!... we'll take it. Hope Ben comes back or we are doomed. Can you imagine if Dalton had been the QB, he would be blamed for never winning the big one, now at least you can blame the team culture, implosion or the like.
Texans looked awful....
-4 degrees at Vikings/Hawks kickoff....fun stuff! Grab a brew and kickback
