I had a Maine Coon that was nearly as big. Good going, at least he's not obese.

What a beast! Our one cat is around 10 pounds (very lean, eats mostly dry food and field mice) and the other one is 16 pounds (he loves cat treats) and they are brothers. Both are indoor/outdoor cats.

10lb is quite big for an house cat. I think the average domestic cat is 9lb. Our other two are 10lb and 13lb.
I think the official GWR biggest Maine Coon from a few years back weighed 44lbs and the vet said he was an healthy weight for his size

We though Maine Coon's were Scottish Wildcats after watching Harry Potter and seeing Mrs Norris, so we did some research and wanted one (3) anyway.

As long as he's not overweight for his size, and he seems to not be, that's pretty darn cool! Lovely kitty!! I have a Maine Coon that's about 15 lbs.

Wow, a bunch of Maine Coon lovers/owners here. Great cats, smart, friendly, good mousers.

We don't let our 3 out to mouse! Though at times we've been tempted to kick the naughty ginger male out!

What a well-behaved kitty. The devil eyes are a bit upsetting.

One of our cats (recently deceased
) reached just under 15 pounds at his peak & when he did his usual 'wake up, dad, feeding time' trick of jumping from the bedroom windowsill & unerringly landing on one's gentlemans' vegetables, that was one hell of a way to be woken up.
RIP Baggins - you git!

That picture of Kate Bush looks as if she's saying 'g'wan, pull my finger...'
