No idea David.. I know she made it with a Panettone we were given for Xmas from a Eritrean neighbor. Some concoction she likely whipped up off the top of her lovely head. It sure was good!

@ Terri: I have a recipe for Langos in my beloved Bread Machine book. It does sound delicious!

If only we hadn't already eaten all the Christmas panettone I would surely try this out. Maybe next year. It sounds like challah bread (my favorite for French toast) might work well too, especially with the diced pineapple. Not to mention the rum. Micky must eat very well indeed.

on the langos, I see a lot of recipes on the web, but it's hard to know which will give the best (most authentic) result. If I find one that works well, I will let you know.
