^  Barbarica is a fine album with excellent musicianship and strong vocals. Some very good guitar throughout with consistent keyboards and solid drumming.
I know some will want to compare it to Zarathustra which is unavoidable but this album can stand on its own.

Hello everyone. A huge Happy New Year for a very prosperous 2016 to all of you here. ;)

Kicking January 1st off with some classics along with some of 2015's best.

Arena-- the unquiet Sky
Fear Factory-- Genexus
Steve Roach-- Halcyon days ( great album, but a little too much didgeridoo for my liking. A bit saturated but still a very peaceful album that epitomizes relaxation. ;)
Threshold-- European journey-- disc 2
Royal Hunt-- devils dozen. ( said it before and I'll say it again. This Album is a real shocker by just how good it really is. Definitely an under looked album for 2015. )
Genesis-- a trick of the tail. ( got a really nice t-shirt the other day for this particular album, so of course I got inspired to spin this album again for the billionth time. ;)

Gimmie my headphones now!!! 🎧🤣

What better way to start off the year than to do some discovery! Today I'm venturing off to Argentina in particular. I'm in the midst of listening to both of the studio albums by Crucis. I just finished "Los Delirios Del Mariscal" and now I'm starting their debut.

Up next I'll be putting on "Sudamerica O El Regreso A La Aurora" by Arco Iris.

It's difficult to be half as good as Zarathustra. Good to know it's a nice album :)

Since last Thursday:
Girón - Stones (Ended 2015 in Spanish)
Alms - An Irosmic Tragedy (Started 2016 in Spanish. It's definitely an improvement after the debut)
Electric Moon - Theory of the Mind (Since Gary mentioned it ;) )
Samsara Blues Experiment - Revelation & Mystery
Can - Tago Mago

I meant to post the other day, Sam, `Barbarica' is certainly a decent album (kind of like Gary said, don't compare it to the 70's disc and you should be fine), but to be completely honest, Il Tempio delle Clessidre's debut album which MR's Lupo sings on is FAR superior (to my ears, at least). Considering he bailed from Il Tempio when the Museo reunion happened, I think he made the poorer decision, because Il Tempio's `Alienatura' is also probably superior to `Barbarica'...I don't know, I'll have to dig them all out for a fresh listen!

Hope you dug `Stones', one of my electronic albums of the year fo sure, and another winner for Girón.

^ I wont compare it with Il Tempio either then :P I love their second album, it's one of the first RPI albums I listened to (after Per Un Amico), so it's quite special for me :)

Yes, great album, dark and melodic. I still have to give it a more attentive listen. I'd like to order it but I'm waiting for the first one since last November :(

Bwahaha, everyone remembers their first time!

Ohh, let's form a `waiting' club, throw my La Coscienza di Zeno debut on that pile as well. Hopefully this week, otherwise I'll have to follow it up.

^ There were a lot of first times in the last five years :P

I already contacted the store for this one, it will probably arrive this week, but it would be nice if they would say something about the delay. I would be OK with it if that order didn't include a Christmas present for my brother :/

Damn stud, clocking up a fair few notches on the belt, are we?!

Yes, I'm giving that La Coscienza to the end of this week. All the public holidays are out of the way now, so it should hopefully be a good run of five days in a row of proper resumed mail delivery. I'm waiting on another infestation of Roach's as we speak too!
