I mean in more of a "prettier chord progression" kind of way. You can definitely see where they took from their previous collaborations and even though it's not mind-blowing like Monoliths & Dimensions there are a couple of new tricks to their songwriting.

^ Seriously, I do like 'em, especially the collabs. This is on my ever-growing list to check out now.

Yeah, I guess I need to get serious about doing this list. First things first...finding out what was released in 2015.

Some very cool lists up - thanks you guys
Oh and I like your style Kazza! So cool to see that you've got Kendrick at the top.
(That Everything Everything album though...yikes. Bought it on a whim earlier in the year and I can only stand two tracks at a time. I think it's the vocals.)

The lack of new Rune Grammophones in America is very upsetting. Anyone know what's up with his? (Mostly Bearded bard here...) Finally getting around to doing this...top 20 will be a bit of a stretch, though I have a good list that I still need to hear.

Hah... their debut is one of my favourite records, quite a bit more out there and creative than where they are now (though I like the catchy but strange indie pop of this record), but I'm not sure that it'll do much for you, seeing as the vocals have only gotten stronger and less weird over time.
And cheers, yeah, Kendrick is just that good, hits all the right spots, especially in the second half.

Albums I've been spinning and digging over the past week or so: Hedersleben - The Fall Of Chronopolis (Psychedelic prog with hints of Amon Düül ll. They remind me of Goat who also sports a female vocalist a la Renate Knaup) La Conscienza di Zeno - La Notte... (Modern by the numbers RPI. Sounds like most other Italian prog bands.) La Curva di Lesmo - s/t (This one speaks more to me, although I am not completely sold by the vocals. The organs though sound incredible) Mammatus - Sparkling Water (If Popol Vuh was a metal act) Simon Steensland - A Farewell to Brains (Wonderful almost Canterburian sounding avant-prog) 3 of those deserve to be on my list, but I have no space left

| Still not heard, at this point I'm probably going to download it.

That is correct sir. My list can use (potentially) great releases like this.

Maybe it'll reveal it's inner beauty at a later time for me as well, but for now I am experiencing great difficulty in reaching the end of the album. Same thing goes for Unreal City and last year's releases from Latte e Miele and Syndone. Yeah sorry about that mate - I know I am mentioning some of your faves

Syndone's album was my favourite last year and got even better after seeing them this year. You don't need to be sorry about it, if we all had the same opinion, it wouldn't be fun to discuss music

Or else we would all be listening to Celine Dion, and that is a frightening thought.
