Figured this was a good place to ask since we have a disproportionately male heavy userbase.
Saw a man on reddit talk about how they had five that month! Seems extreme to me. I get two or three a year.

This is a prog website which means half of everyone here once had and/or still does have hair down to their nipples or up to their ceiling fan.

Haircuts?  We don't need no stinking haircuts.

I get a haircut about once a month, but my hair grows ridiculously fast and is very thick.

I haven't had a haircut in over 20 years, and no, I'm not bald.
What?

when really young I had long hair.. who didn't.

After the military I found I liked short hair..  much easier to manage and much harder for one to grab your hair in a barfight (used to be a bouncer in quite a rough bar).

Since my brawling days are pretty much over.. I've finally managed to win Raff over who stopped complaining about my long hair and lack of haircuts about 6 months ago.  I love my ponytail.  What sucks though is the big ass bald spot on top of my head Angry.  So bad that a friend actually was able to cut the number of cuts and scabs (7 as of Thursday) I have from work and knocking my head against ceiling beams at work.

Once a month, which at 55 precisely coincides with my sex life. Wink

eight to ten sounds about right for me. I just cut it when it starts to feel long and annoying.

I haven't had a haircut since I retired in 2006.
I always wear it in a pony tail.

probably smart.. I should have waited another few years until I retire.  Since explosions are drawn to me as bees to honey.  I had one a couple of years ago that got me good and burned off the hair off the side of my head, along with an eyebrow. (thankfully Raff hadn't come here yet LOL. I never did tell her about that and since it was short it regrew quickly)

I shudder what to think it would do to my flowing locks now.. then again at least I am spending the next 4 months crawling around in a bacteria filled stagnant lake  under a complex of apartment buildings. Fun fun.. but no chance of getting blow up.

^  I was a Sheet Metal Worker and spent the first nineteen years on commercial job sites where accidents will get you if you're not careful.
Fortunately I spent my last ten years as an estimator so that was a cakewalk compared to the field.
I retired at fifty six but really could have put in several more years but my boss was such a d*ck I just couldn't stand to be around him anymore.

good for you man. I figured you had a job like that.  Accidents will get us as well, but I think a certain sense of fatalism is involved with us. If it happens it happens. I survived an arc flash explosion a couple of years ago by the skin my teeth.. a couple of inches difference to my right and my face would have been  melted off.. and I would have damn well HOPED that I hadn't lived through it.

point was.. no warning.. no fault.. was a complete act of a God in hurry to have a few beers and swap war stories with me. I cheated him once.. I doubt I will a second time. What can you do...

If anyone cares about the other gender, I get mine cut every two months. Works out to six times a year for the math-challenged among you.

2 - 3 per year, which is not really enough, but I don't like to bother with it more often than that.

For those of you who "never" get a haircut, how do you keep your bangs out of your eyes!?
