Your Dutch isn't getting any better over the years, Dean For me it's obviously bass guitar, but a double bass and a sax can grab and keep my attention just as easily. |

Mellotron. In the right hands, it can be any instrument you can imagine. All in one package.

Hmm... not many linguists in tonight. There's nothing quite like a nice homophone... hobo == oboe in the Nederlandish spreken so I voted for that.

That is absolutely true, though naming all percussion instruments apart wouldn't do good to the poll I think.

percussion is not an instrument, they are a variety of instruments mostly.
(I guess it could also be one instrument but they have names too, i.e. bongos, congas, maracas etc. even drums) Edited by Kati - November 28 2015 at 17:44 |

You forgot mandolins, mandocellos, bouzoukis, balalaikas and banjos. And bagpipes. And ouds.

^ Zaar was great, and what happened to Yan Hazera such a tragedy. You probably already know Pienza Ehtnorkestra, but here's something else to check out for lovers of that out-there hurdy gurdy grind: |

I don't have a favourite instrument. It entirely depends on the music and the person playing it.
Also, as others have mentioned, where's the oboe? |
