Split between the aforementioned Ash Borer and Fell Voices, a group featuring some of the same musicians though playing a less aggressive and noisy rather more ambient/drone-oriented style of black metal.

Fell Voices' self-titled EP. Both this project and Ash Borer have this feel where it's like a music group I wish existed for a long time turns out to actually do. Kind of like a less trippy version of Darkspace.

Loooove this band....but oddly enough not UFO, which is so strange when you count in what a huge psych fan I am, but to me this debut of theirs is the posterchild of too much acid in the studio.

Me before:
CAN 2 - That is certainly what the band is driving at, but they miss the all-important groove of Jaki. There's a very fine line between great motorik drumming and monotonous drumming. Kind of a bummer really as there is potential to be found in the surrounding music.

Now finishing:
An alright album but nothing that blows my socks off.
...and I just hate the current production skills of most modern RPI. Why does it have to sound like a Dream Theater album?Angry
What about some space in the mix - a little room for dynamics?

Enough of this!
Necromonkey's newest it isBig smile
First spin.

Yeah don't sweat it Samuel - I seem to be in the minority on thisLOL
It is really irritating though as I've (almost) stopped purchasing new RPI altogether. I can hear there's great music there, but I really really do not like the way it is served.

I am slightly surprised but I certainly understand what you are saying.
I've had Dance Of The Flames and Tango Fango since the seventies but was unfamiliar with their other albums. This was my first time hearing UFO all the way through and I'm listening to Hinten now.
