But Kati, here is the US is where it's most difficult to use the hate speech figure to stop speech (and that's the one thing I always will agree with libertarians). 

I have attacked the petition in the OP and the blatant racism and xenophobia that has suddenly emerged here in PA but closing this thread makes no sense. It's not abusive per Se.

P.A. is my home, I like it here a lot but isn't it twisted that i.e. album covers from the 60's/70s have to be censored because of nudity meanwhile things like this are acceptable?

Imo it's an interesting debate, from an utilitarian perspective there are pros, there are cons...

I live in Canada and people are pretty much split 50/50 about refugees.

^I didn't know they censored album covers because of nudity. I guess PA thinks us all children I guess.

LOL The T, yes they have to be censored now, it's some kind of google rule or something like that that effects P.A. too inc. the revenue, I can't blame P.A. for having to conform to that tho' however I was just stating how in general our priorities seem so twisted.

This Syrian refugees crisis was provoked by the west wanting to "liberate the Syrian people from the Assad regime", thus enabling the worst evil to congregate instead.

In the United States you can show blood, murder, massacres, etc etc to children. But oh my show them a nipple and the whole world comes crashing down.

This wild attack in Paris upset me so much. I follow news of this terror . R.I.P . We MUST destroy all of terrorists around the world.

When I was at University in 1979 two of the people on my course and several in the hall of residence were Iranians who had come over to the UK to study. During the Iranian Revolution that occurred that year all of them were naturally concerned for their families back home, but what struck me more than anything else was the friendship and support they all extended to the lone christian in their group.

It is way more complex indeed, Lazland, I understand that and I am not placing the blame on anyone, political practices and influences are both internal and external.
My comment, here above, is more related to my previous posts, in the sense that many people are innocent victims, nothing to do with terrorists, they are suffering and really have nowhere to go.

This petition would not seem to be so blatantly xenophobic if it was not contrasted with the fact that three of Paris terrorists were French nationals that blended in with Syrian refuges residing in Paris.
 
Please note that they were not actually Syrian refugees.
