just as Halloween is over lets 'honour' our most terrifying urban legends, the boogymens of night and slasher pantheon, Whos your favoured slasher.
i saw Rob Zombies Halloween remake, it is actualy a very good movie yet Michael creeps me out, heis stil å facinating character who has an aura of mystery around him.

I am not into slasher movies. I prefer horror movies in which there is no gore or only very little one. In my opinion slasher movies are not horror movies, they are terror movies. Terror is what jumps into your face. Horror is what slowly creeps up your spine. Horror is in my opinion much more scary than terror.
A good example for horror is "Malpertuis" by Harry Kümel, starring Mathieu Carriere, Orson Welles and Susan Hampshire; the latter in a triple role as Nancy, Alice and Euryale.
Another good example is "Don't Look Now!" starring Julie Christie and Donald Sutherland. The only blood is at the very end, and on your first watch it comes as a complete shock because it is totally unexpected, though tension has slowly been building up throughout the whole movie.
