No, they're no Voivod, but that's some pretty damn big shoes to fill and Vektor have actually developed their own distinctive style. This is a very interesting and exciting album, certainly in the upper percentile of newer thrash metal groups.

Also, more metal projects need to name themselves after obscure sports cars.

Never really listened to Phish before this. Categorised as Prog Related. Don't know about that but I'm enjoying. A bit Little Featish ? Grateful Dead ? Maybe even a touch of Warren Zevon ? Nice playing nonetheless.

re: Wolflight: It's not bad but also not stellar. Perhaps safe. It's very much in the vein of recent (since Darktown) Hackett. At this stage of the game, I don't think it's much better than things like Out Of Tunnel's Mouth or Beyond the Shrouded Horizon (And not as good as To Wach The Storms or Wild Orchids), but it's a well made/constructed/performed album.
