I absolutely agree that all four these albums will be in my top 10 for 2015 at the end of the year... But none of them has got its place in PA One can add to my list the latest album from: Alco Frisbass Guapo Unit Wail Scherzoo Anekdoten Jaga Jazzist Unit Wail Ryley Walker Oh, and BTW, Gilmour's album will NOT be part of that list!! ![]() Edited by Sean Trane - September 10 2015 at 13:04 |

I am sooooo looking forward to the release of this - like a small child awaiting a new lightsaber:
...and perhaps even more so the following tour. Dungen is without a doubt one of the best live bands out there. For one, you get to hear Reine Fiske wield his magic powers in an infinitely more loose setting, and that is quite simply riveting to experience. |

Yeah, I'm looking forward to that one as well. Less than a couple of weeks to go now. I've pre-ordered it, so it might even reach my mailbox a day or two earlier than the 25th. ![]() Regarding their tour, it's the same for me as with GY!BE, I plan on seeing them when they come here in November, if there's tickets left by the end of the month, as I'm skint right now (again ![]() ![]() On other new releases, Jono El Grande's new one will be out in the beginning of next month, and Møster! released their new one yesterday, so I'll have to get those two, but concert tickets for Dungen and GY!BE will be my priority next month.

Maybe not exactly prog, but Toto XIV is colossal.
Otherwise, Arcane, Steven Wilson, Anekdoten, Leprous, Riverside, Barock Project, 3RDegree and Unreal City also released terrific albums. |

So a new studio by Gazpacho already? Wow.
Demon was great, so a follow up to it already is exciting. ^ New song from the album Molok. Sounds fantastic.

I've listened to a few more new releases. In particular, Girl Band's debut Holding Hands with Jamie is hot, hot, hot. Shades of Public Image Ltd. and The Jesus Lizard.
Ought's Sun Coming Down is fantastic too. A strangely life-affirming mix of Wire, The Fall, and Television. I have also enjoyed The Dodos' Individ (A band known for raw yet elaborate finger-picked folk pop with intricate West African-inspired drum patterns making a rock album without actually sounding all that different), and Beach House's Depression Cherry (dream pop/shoegaze, perhaps one of the few bands that doesn't just sound like all the other dream pop bands that hog KEXP airwaves). ![]() Edited by Polymorphia - September 29 2015 at 22:05 |

I finally got my hands on both ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Alla's Sak is quickly turning out to be one of my favourite Dungen albums, and that's not just because it's new and fresh. I think it's their most "progressive" album to date - using synths and psychedelics in a rawer and, at least to me, more compelling manner than what I've previously heard from these guys. Just the drums make this album sound far more experimental than anything that came before. Haven't heard elephant9 yet, but I'm kinda saving my first spin for Saturday morning. |

All these recent pick ups will probably make my top 20 at year end. Reve General is probably top 5. La STPO - L'imparfait multiplede dieu Chelsea Wolfe - Abyss Breznev Fun Club - il misantrope felice ni - Les insurgés de Romilly Waiting on elephant9 arriving in the USA, Sonar will probably make my list once I get it.

Just bought that one myself. Haven't gotten around to listening to it yet though. I blame Dungen and elephant9. I caved in and span Silver Mountain earlier today ![]() My favourite thing about it though is that it expands on the sound they conjured up for the title track on Walk The Nile. That raw booming Krautrock feel. Oh and Torstein Lofthus is on fire! Throughout the album. Holy smokes! |

![]() I guess this thread is working exactly like it should. I too have dished out some dough because of it, that's for damn sure! Just to be completely obnoxious, I'd very much like to add one more to the mix. The new Brian Ellis Group 'Escondido Sessions' should be right up your alley too. If you dig wild unhinged fusion with a mad sax at it's core, you'll definitely enjoy what it has to offer. Brian Ellis is mostly known for his work with Astra, but he is currently dabbling around with his saxophone doing this sweet take on what The Soft Machine would've sounded like if they had been a Krautrock band. 2013s Psicomagia debut along with this little gem is surely testimony to that. |
