Meat eater, for the taste. I don't have objections against some vegetarian food now and then, but I do like most meat.

Voted: Vegetarian - moral reasons because its closest to what I am (90% of the year). Meaning I don't eat anything coming from the meat industry. Their grotesque maltreatment of animals makes me both angry and sad.
- But I'm not a 100% morally against killing animals for food and like the taste. Buying directly from smalltime local farmers who I know treat their animals nice is ok, and so is hunting imo. Edit: By that I don't mean trophy hunting ala the dentist killing Cecil the Lion.

Meat eater: Taste. Whether a big juicy cheese burger or a nice steak grilled to medium well. And let's not forget carnitas tacos with homemade salsa.

I can and will eat just about anything (if it comes with chili). I lived in a small commune at one point and most of my roomies were vegetarian. I didn't eat meat for a period of a year or so, but that was mostly because they cooked up such great food and the fact that I was broke. I do remember missing bacon.
I do prefer to eat animals who have been nurtured and respected (hunted even). The huuuge hunger for flesh is producing some entirely disgusting "farms" that no animal should ever set foot on.

Meat eater by force of habit, though I could easily give it up and go vegetarian (not vegan, though). My husband (aka Micky) loves his meat, therefore we eat meat almost every day - which I never did when I lived in Italy.

I could never go vegetarian, although I do have meatless meals on a fairly regular basis.

I remember being a small boy in Missouri. We had a large garden (everyone did) so there were fresh vegetables with every meal. My Mom had a good sized chicken pen so we had fresh eggs every morning and fried chicken every Sunday after church. At one point my Dad bought a year old calf and had it butchered and cut into everything from steaks to ground beef. No chemicals, hormones or "disgusting farm conditions". I didn't realize at the time how good we had it.

^This...very little red meat.
We try to buy from local farmers as much as we can instead of the mass meat factory corporate giants. My brother in law owns/runs a dairy farm the old fashioned way with chickens, goats, gardens as well as the cows. Grows most of his feed for the cows also, corn, hay, etc... He rarely takes a day off, 7 days a week, twice a day the cows need milking. Hardest working man I have ever seen.

What a dreadful list of poll options.
I am not a meat eater, nor am I a vegetarian. I am, like every other member of the species of animal classified as homo sapiens sapiens, an omnivore. Our anatomy has evolved to digest an omnivorous diet and has adapted to gaining its nourishment and essential nutrients from a variety of food sources.
A vegetarian is an omnivore that chooses not to eat meat, everything else is meaningless.

I voted Meat Eater for health reasons; high protein, low carb, lean, just awesome.

No option for mostly vegetarian, eat very little meat for moral/taste reasons. We've got to get better at capturing nuances, people...
