speaking of root beer... any of you lushes... drunks or power drinkers tried these new waves of alcoholic root beers seemingly hitting the market in full force. A friend of mine is bring a 6 pack (or 2 or 3  ) to our ...ahem.. non-alcoholic company picnic Sunday. Pffff.. what do those rich suit wearing f**ks expect of a bunch of death defying hard working hard partying knuckle draggers.. us to drink iced tea and diet coke... pfff..

No I haven't seen any (probably found at liquor & beer stores rather than soda places). I have noticed a huge range of flavors in rootbeers, there seems to be an almost endless combination of spices and roots like ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg and fennel, to barks like sassafras and birch, and aromatics like wintergreen, vanilla and molasses.

Had a go at this-- strong, with intense licorice and sassafras. A mite powerful for me, think I'll pass on birch beer next time but it is more interesting than sarsaparilla.
