Nothing beats those Belgian ales for flavor and body.  Nothing beats a Czech pils or German lager for a refreshing quaff.  And nothing beats a Yuengling lager when the only alternatives are Genny, Stegmeyer and Blatts.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

You must live east of Ohio.....can't get Yuengling west of there ..I live in northwest Indiana but a friend brought me some a while back, the lager and a porter...good stuff.

From the poll, Hoegaarden.

In general, lately I've been smitten by Weihenstephaner's Vitus and Ayinger's Urweizen. Mmm...wheat beers.

Not bad at all.  Exactly as the label says, woodsy with a molasses flavor.  Much better as it warmed up.   This one needs to breath a bit.  Over 9% alcohol so a nice kick too.

Yes, the Pip cat is an RPI hater.  She's on my ass about it quite often.

Yeah I love that....I drink to the curmudgeons in the world LOL

This one is damn sharp.  Very citrus and bitter strong hop taste.  Too much so for me but if you like that thing this one will deliver

High alcohol, boozy bourbon notes....almost instant warmth

Some people really like bourbon infused ales....I've tasted some subtle ones that are decent.  This one is not subtle.  But it rates highly at the beer-rating sites so I suspect it is just not a match to my own tastes.  Probably a wonderful beer to many.

I'm going for beer tomorrow Wu so I'll take a look.  I wouldn't mind a subtle flavored beer....the spice here scares me more than the pumpkin.  But generally I don't like the fruit-flavored beer thing at all.  So this might not be my thing.  Did you like it?
