hahahha.. damnit man.. we knew you were potential collab material for a reason. That is the spirit!!! Anger, condensation, threats of melodramic departures. Man.. you covered all the collab bases IN ONE POST haha.. within a year I bet you'll be an admin on this site hahah

That is what this forum needs passion.. that sense that the gen pop here doesn't know its ass from a hole in the ground. There is a reason why reviews are weighted for the collabs.. I should have done the votes that way as well. Hell.. I just might retofit that in if these mystifying results continue to come in.  Clap

one is a great fusion album

the other matches that.. and tops it further still..

no brainer.. this is prog forum you know.. adventurous.. pushing the boundries. Doesn't that count.

Pfff .. english v. non-english.  suprise surprise... whatever!! LOL

from the guts .. from the heart.  Love it. Not enough of it around here these days.  There is no passion.. no fire around here anymore.  To me summarizes the bigger picture death throes of the genre.

Shame you came to the site as late as you did.. you would have loved this place 5-10 years ago.. you would have fit right in. Hell I would have even drafted you for my AR team of forum thugs and hitmen.

Dont worry, Micky, as a bearded one that I like said once: "all that is solid melts into air". Things change and change and change once again...

I think it has as much to do with the fact the sites been around for 10 years, everything has been discussed to death already.

Mind you, start a thread praising Steven Wilson and I'll show you fire and passion!Wink

I am personally satisfied with the numbers in this poll.
Area does nothing for me except to annoy me. To my ears there are too many segments with strange
vocal noise and weird sounds that more than cancel out any decent music that they sometimes play.
Before anyone starts jumping up and down and getting red in the face, this is my opinion only and is
not intended to point a laughing finger at anyone who likes this kind of sound (music?).

I want to say what I want and nobody can say to me what I dont want to hear.

I came here for a argument. A decent one. I paid!

Went to a  McLaughlin/di Miola/de Lucia show some years back largely because of Paco and was pretty much blown away by McLaughlin but I've never been overly moved by his MO stuff. Otoh the Area album doesn't do much for me either. Best thing about this poll was the Area review sent me off to listen to Banco del Mutuo Soccorso. Nice. Damn I am getting soft in my old age. Probably be listening to Against all Odds this time next week. Shocked

It's a sheer toss up, but I gotta give the nod to MO. As a drummer, I can't overlook Billy Cobham's drumming on this record, he's the tiebreaker here.
