True, Finald is really representing well in F1 again.

also, as a conspiracy theorist i'm still wondering how mercedes has managed to stay so superior for over a year now without any other team copying them.
Clearly Mercedes is being bankrolled and having their secrets suppressed by the Bank of International Settlements, because as we know the BIS has a shady history involving nazi money, and Mercedes being a German company is being funded by the banks selling of Nazi stolen gold, with the intention of creating a Fourth Reich, (we already see Germany and German banks owning Europe) and the Mercedes F1 team is a propaganda tool, to help the people of Europe be fooled into supporting the upcoming new nazi German regime.

A little bit of excitement in the Canadian GP today with Vettel having a great drive from the back towards the front, although too bad about Kimi's spin. He almost certainly would've had a podium today if it weren't for that. I gotta say, though, that race was a little disappointing, considering the last few years there.
And Martin Truex, Jr. won the Cup race today in Pocono for the Furniture Row Racing #78 team and what a popular win that is for the fans and racing community alike, with what he and his longtime girlfriend have been going through. If Kyle or Gordon couldn't win, I'm glad it was him today. Good dude and a small, one car team, they certainly deserve it with the way they've been running all year.

Kimi said the ERS power came in too suddenlyand caused the spin, same thing happened last year.
As for Merc keeping their advantage I think it's easy, Renault seem to have gone backwards surprisingly whilst Ferrari have actually caught up in terms of engine, or are at least pretty close now, but still lack somewhat in terms of chassis which isn't a surprise since most of the senior personel in the team last year got fired (they even sacked the cook!).
Yeah, I know Ferrari had a great purge, and I did wonder if perhaps they could go a bit too far...I actually figured Ferrari would struggle a bit this year, didn't expect em to be, ( a distant) #2.

Just watched first qualy for Le Mans, Neel Jani just smashed the lap record to get poll with a 3:16.8, previous record was a 3:18.5. Porsche 1 2 3 so far.

And everybodies agreed there's more to come! Or there would be but the forcast for today is for rain so that poll time might stand, but I reckon that a 3:14 is definitely on the cards if the weather holds. There's also a good chance of rain on Sunday for a real sting in the tail of this race.
Looks like we're in for a 6 way fight between the three Porsche's and Audi's, Toyota don't have the pace to match but aren't that far away and rightly pointed out that the winning Audi last year spent 25 minutes in the pits with turbo problems, so reliability is still very important.
Nissan sadly are nowhere, they can't get the super powerful KERS system (which they've measured at 1000+hp on the dyno!) reliable so they're running without it and 20s a lap slower.
Aw yeah the 24, can't wait!! I'm going to give myself a treat after all this manic studying by becoming a human vegetable for 24 hours
Any idea at all if there's a favorite? Or is it just always a toss up amongst the top teams. I just figured the Lotterer, Fassler, Truluyer team is the favorite until proven otherwise. IDK how it works though, if one is favored of it's a legit free for all.

Pace wise it's definitely a free for all between the 3 Porsches and the 3 Audi's, neither team runs favourites since putting your eggs in one basket tends to be a recipie for disaster at Le Mans.
That said, the Lotterer, Treluyer, Fassler line up is always seen as the strongest Audi line up for good reason, they've won 3 of the last 4 Le Mans and I reckon part of that is down to their race engineer Lena Gade, she is one smart cookie.
For Porsche the Webber, Bernhard, Hartley line up seems to be their fastest judging by the first couple of WEC races this year, but they've suffered mechanical poblems whilst leading both times leving the Lieb, Jani, Dumas car to fight the Audi's. Hulkenberg, Tandy and Bamber seem to be on the pace with the other 2 Porsches as well.
EDIT: And sadly we're already down a car, the 63 Corvette that Jan Magnussen crashed in the Porsche curves last night has been withdrawn because the car was to heavily damaged to repair on site and all 3 C7.R's in existence are entered in the race so no spare chassis. Apparently the crash was caused by a mechanical failure, Jans fine but that eliminates one of the favourites for the GTE win.

10 hours in, the Hulkenburg, Tandy, Bamber Porsche leads Le Mans with 2 Audi's right with them. The Webber Porsche is about a minute and a half back after a penalty but it's defintiely a 4 way fight for the win. The third Porsche is a little further back on the lead lap but has had a couple of small problems and the #8 Audi had an accident early on so is a lap down. Toyota are nowhere unfortunately.

The Porsche seems to have the legs on the Audi at night, Tandy and currently Bamber have been able to extend their lead on Lotterer/Treluyer whilst the #9 Audi is dropping back. It'll be interesting to see if they can keep that advantage in daylight.

It would have been a very close finish but for a couple of small things, namely a stop/go penalty for the 17 whilst Webber was at the wheel (for Hartley speeding in the pitlane I gather) and the 7 Audi having the right side of it's engine cover just blow off at 7am with Fassler at the wheel. It was on the lead lap still at that time and the Audi was faster during the day than the Porsche so we would have had a grand stand finish without that.
An excellent race but not quit a match for the epics of 2008/11.

I'm very happy for Hulk, but I'm also very happy for Patrick Dempsey (Dr. McDreamy yada yada yada) for fulfilling his dream on getting on the podium in his class. A very hard fought accomplishment!
