In terms of style and general quality it's a fairly direct drawback to the type of cover art used extensively on 80's metal albums. I've seen a lot worse over the years :-) Edited by Windhawk - June 02 2015 at 16:49 |

I am shocked that most of these are available on the Zune (Xbox) Marketplace for me to download with my subscription. This allows me to play them on my Zune device and decide if I want to get the CD or simply stay with a digital download, or vinyl if available.
Upsilon Acrux is pretty good stuff on first listen....I hear a lot of KC and distorted/metal/jazz fusion. The Zune Marketplace also had Upsilon Live and Radian Futura, down loaded both. Yes I still use Zune...I am one of 7 people still using it  Thanks Windhawk!

My pleasure. It's for that kind of use I'm making this post. Something for the curious to take a look at, with fairly easy access to samples (emusic) or songs (spotify/bandcamp) for an initial check. Which is why I include cover art and nationality, as there are people drawn to both of those details when deciding what to spend listening time with. As implied in the opening post, not all of the music here will be progressive rock as defined by this site, the users here or even me. This is progressive rock as seen from the vendor emusic's point of view. In a perfect world there would have been available capacity to check all of these for possible inclusion at Progarchives. |
