The English adaptation of Sadko known as The Magic Voyage of Sinbad. Coppola adapted the script.

Godfather I and II. The rest really don't matter.

The Outsiders and Rumble Fish are both very good coming-of-age novels from S.E. Hinton, that I read in my youth. When I later saw the movies, I was surprised, how close the films were to the original books, also regarding the atmosphere that they arouse. Rumble Fish, both novel and film, seems to be more mature than The Outsiders, which was S.E.Hintons debut, so it gets my vote. And of course also Apocalypse Now, one of the greatest films ever made.

oh man... without a doubt Apocalypse Now.
No one would ever say it was better than the Godfather movies. .however those movies were great for the casts.. sh*t man I could have directed them and got a directing oscar off the talents of the cast. ![]() However Apocalypse Now ... now THAT was the product of a master director.. didn't the making of it put everyone in the crazy house or in rehab. |

Between Martin Sheen and Coppola one had a mild heart attack and one had a nervous breakdown but
I'm not sure which one had what. Coppola's friends and coworkers in the industry warned him about making a movie about Vietnam because that topic was taboo in Hollywood. He eventually borrowed money on his homes and his cars to finish the film. He said that at some point it had gone from a project to an obsession.

A bit surprisingly, I haven't seen many of his movies ... I would've thought I'd seen more of them
The last one I saw was Rumblefish, which was a total bore...

I thought both Godfather I and II were brilliant but Apocalypse Now gets my vote. Beyond brilliant, no matter how many times I watch it I never get tired of it.
