but some of the vocal decendings on first song on First Utterance are similar to the same vocal decending aaas in Stayin Alive, Bee Gees influnced plento of peeps, Brian Wilson, Paul Simon whoms music and vocal harmonies enfluenced everyone

Roger Wootten has said that he got his vocal style from Roger Chapman of Family.

Makes sense. I like that vocal style. Phil Judd of Split Enz pulls it off very well and is easily just as crazy and convincing.

I've not heard Split Enz.
Good timing, I was just about to post an example song.
This is the earlier prog stuff when Phil Judd was in the band. They later became much poppier and had hits and such, and were still very good. I'd consider them one of my favourite bands actually...
