And I listened a bit to the gamelan music video you posted from that series. Yes, I should definitely check stuff like that out more. Exploration is fun!

Listened to just the first piece so far; really nice. I presume you were using a fretless guitar with a tape loop? I liked the slow build up of overlaid phrasing. I did feel the length of the section with the static a little challenging.

Thanks, glad ya like it. A mix of steel slide, pick scraping and excessive down-tuning led to getting those guitar sounds on the first track. No tape loops though the last part with the mandolin was recorded on a portable cassette recorder. That static part is nothing compared to some of the other parts on the album. LOL
Overall, this new album is quite different to the previous ones I've put up. One in the Flood, Decease Estates and Understand Non You Do Odd are much more rock based.

A collection of sounds that for whatever reason didn't end up on previous albums (or future albums?). Spanning four years ago to about a week ago.

Hey folks, here's the new album: https://superdensecrushloadfactor.bandcamp.com/album/what-little-ground-there-is

One of my jazziest offerings. Documenting a time between a small writer's block after I finished the previous album Words Can't Say and overcoming that. Very happy with this one. Exploring new ground and sometimes very little ground to work with. The loose concept being decomposition and ageing; making the most out of some of my dying musical equipment. I also used an old (I think 1920's) home pump organ on one track, as well as a late 1800's-early 1900's zither on another. Soak it up! Hope you enjoy it.

Well hey Gabe, so I've listened to this three times now and it has many good moments but it still feels a bit unbalanced. First Collapse, Chumps, Burro's Tail and Shattered antiques really build up to something nice but I'm a bit bored inbetween where it felt sort of directionless. Also No Ground was a nice rehash to the sound of One in the Flood.
I like what you do with the tape loops and different percussion but I could do with less of that guitar strumming in general.

Thanks for the in-depth listening man! All fair criticism to me.
