I watched it with the lights out (well before I had experimented with drugs and effed up my brain ) and I was left in the fetal position in my chair by the time it was over. Reaaaaally freaking weird movie though. I've watched it more recently and after knowing what to expect it wasn't as intense because I was trying to decipher it. Still - not easy on the brain. Also that comic is freaking awesome I think I'll go listen to Pale Communion.

For the record, I like Storm Corrosion for the occasional listen. It's nice if you let yourself get sucked into it. But as background music, it's kind of useless.

Both of you definitely need to give Eraserhead a watch. David Lynch is probably my favorite director/screenwriter, etc. His style is really my thing and Eraserhead was probably the most self-indulgent he got. |
I've seen Pi and some of Tetsuo: The Iron Man and know it has a similar sort of industrial aesthetic so I can imagine liking it a lot. I've seen Mulholland Drive and The Elephant Man and like both lots so I want to watch more of him.

Neither Steven Wilson's nor Mikael Akerfeldt's names mean that much to me, so I don't think it's possible for me to be disappointed by Storm Corrosion.

I was a SW fan but never had any feelings for Akerfeldt one way or the other (negative, if anything), so I had no real expectations on the quality of the album, other than I expected it to be louder. Not bad, but a minor release.

Yeah I really liked it. You definitely have to see Pi if you haven't, but I recommend watching all Aronofksy personally.

I fall more on the Opeth side of things, but I don't love Opeth.

true the
only lynch film I've seen is The Elephant Man. I've also been wanting
to watch Twin Peaks for a while. Right now I don't really have the time
for any more TV shows, though. I've got a handful of currently-running
shows to keep up with and I've also been watching a lot of the Office
while I do homework.

I'm surprised you've not seen Requiem For a Dream or Black Swan yet.
