I haven't gotten around to hearing S&TB's more psychedelic and poppy, less gothic and punky later material until now but I can see why Siouxsie prefers it herself considering those albums her finest achievements. Not only does it show her singing improve in bounds, but I think they did that transition way more gracefully than say Echo and the Bunnymen. It's obviously the same signature style and the same personality, just less angry and more reflective.

Second album by Eclectic Prog band Neutrons released in 1975.
Excellent album musically but some of the vocals were a turn-off.
