One of my favourite Roger Dean artworks.

Some of the other bands I like have unusual vocal styles (Pavlov's Dog for example).
I try to listen to the sound of the voice as if it were another instrument.
If you have the Dawn vinyl, it's a translucent deep burgundy colour.....as are most Dawn releases (and Affinity/Charly releases from the later 70's).
Why naturally, the voice IS another instrument.

Yes, I will admit that originally it was the cover that
got my attention. I wasn't familiar with the band but
I took a chance and bought it anyway.
The title track alone was worth the cost of the album.

"Mountains"  Steamhammer (UK)
A definite favorite from 1970. Hard rock with great guitar
and solid bass (especially on the live track).

Heavy organ, hot guitar, long songs, tolerable vocals.
Everything you want from a seventies prog/progressive
rock band.
Or psychedelic/space rock  if you're being politically correct.

I have the original Swedish version El Ahrairah - the one with the bunny on the front cover. The music is the same though. I guess it's pretty easy selling Swedish prog to the English speaking world, when you never use vocals. Smart guy.

A classic album to have on vinyl man. I had and still have a big crush on the dude, his fuzzy sound hits me exactly in the right spot, I love artists that sounds like that.
