-Hi, Peter! Pleased to meet you and all! :-)

It's hard to say about the weather in hole Russia: from -50 at the Eastern Siberia to +20 at the Black Sea Bay :) :) :) :)

Till the last 3-4 days the weather in Moscow was cold (-15 - -10), but now it's near zero.

I'm sure you'll find that there are many fans of "footie" here, especially among the Brits, Europeans, & South Americans.

-Yes, Southern Americans, Australians and Asians are not so familiar with football :-)

Have fun here, & nice to "talk" to you, so far away -- isn't technology grand?Big smile

-What does it mean about "technology grand"? :-)

Hi Emperor, welcome to our nightmare!LOL

"Grand" = very good, impressive.

Dynamo Kiev for the Champions League? Need good luck against Leverkusen tonight.Thumbs Up

I support Man Utd, we have already qualified and are playing our young players tonight, so we will lose to Fenerbahce!

Tell us about Russian Prog. I bet it's reet gradely!Wink

Hello, Reed Lover!

Both - Dimamo and MU has lost, but MU continue to play in League, though Dinamo will continue in UEFA Cup... They had to win Real in Kiev! :-(

Speaking about English Premier League, I always supported Liverpool and Everton (since 80s) :-) MU was also one of my favorite club in Europe till last several years - I really don't like Beckham, and now you have another unpleasant player for me - Ronaldo... But Van Nistelroy is is really Great!

I hardly can inform you about Russian Progressive, because it's practically nothing to inform about :-( Though I believe I really can give some good information about Progressive of Italy, Sweden, Netherlands, Germany, France and some other countries - last years I've collected a good amount of Music from there :-)

The Scots are very fair minded when it comes to the England football team, we don't mind who beats them!LOL

I remember very good Scottish team of 12-17 years ago (Leighton, McCoist, McStay, McCall, Gallespie, McKeanally, etc), but a bit unsuccessful one. I also remember how USSR had lost in EURO-92 from yours 0-3 ;-) (It was the very last game of USSR team, by the way - Scotland has made a deathbox for it!).

sigod, you have a fellow gooner - just the love the way we can be rubbish in europe and still top the group -

and man u - oh dear oh dear, what happened to the great youth academy of yesteryear, that fabulous conveyor belt of talent we used to hear so much about with giggs, becks and anybody else ending in `s'. Oh yeah, I know, Liam Brady set up a better one and all the best kids end up at highbury now.

Indeed, for Sigod's info, keep an eye on a young Irish kid, Anthony Stokes, - just 16 but big things expected of a striker the Gunners' match programme referred to as a young  Alan Shearer.

And before anybody asks why an Irishman supports a London club, i was born in London and... have you seen the state of domestic soccer here

for landerkdoten, my mexican missus is from guadalajara but for some inexplicable reason is an America supporter - go figure.

Just give the mighty whites a couple of years and we'll be back where we belong.....in Champions League. The problem with Mighty Leeds United was that we had a Chairman that didn't understand economics Any day now the Sainsbury dude will buy my beloved team and turn the finances around. I'm not sure Sigod or Reed Lover would've talked that much about their teams if they were in the same situation. I'm really happy to see that the team from Lancashire have had their heydays, and that they won't win the league for some decades. Mr. "Rednose" Ferguson has just bought crappy players recently. Djemba Djemba, Kleberson, Forlan, Saha, Judas Smith
marching on together!!

yeah but they're all rubbish (with the excpetion  of scholes)

our lot of kids (admittedly bought in but still put through the academy process) includes the wonderful van persie - good swing at fletcher that - flamini, hoyte, fabregas, pennant, owusu abeyie, etc are filtering in with increasing regularity and one of the most promising David Bently is off at NOrwich getting more experience of first team football.

Not denying Man U's academy was good - it was, although the Nevilles would seem to give lie to that - but these days? C'mon you can't tell me that the calibre being turned out these days are any good. None of them would EVER have got within a country mile of the first teams of the mid and late 90s.

And as for the ones bought in? with the exception of the (hated) Van Nistelrooy and Cristiano Ronaldo, they're all hopeless.

at least Wenger still know how to buy a decent talent - Reyes, Fabregas, Van Persie,  and of course Lehmann and Almunia (doh!!!!!!!)

Pride comes before a fall.

Arsenal's record in the Prem and Europe is vastly inferior to the RED-SHIRTED SUPER-HEROES!

You've not won anything with the above-named Johnny-come-lateleys yet!

Gunner v Bayern

Man United v AC Milan

Chelsea v Barcelona

Liverpool v Bayer Leverkeusen

Arsenal get one of the kinder draws but they'll still probably bottle it. Probably would have been better to get Milan or Barca. They might get motivated for that.
