First thing I've bought in ages - and the reason I found The Prog Archives to begin with.
About 25 years ago I foolishly purged about 200 albums from my collection thinking 'I don't listen to them anymore' As tastes often come in cycles and waves I soon after found that I regretted what i'd done and I've been trying to get them all back since. I'm probably about half way there but i'm sure I've forgotten a lot of what I dumped. Case in point - a few months ago I had a shadow memory bugging me - something to do with a band that sounded like Jethro Tull so I did a search and it led me to a post on the Prog Archives Forum. I didn't find my answer but I joined the forum. All the while the while I kept picking at the memory like the way you worry at something stuck in your teeth with your tongue. The other day the pieces fell together - and I remembered .. and then bought it on ebay. :) Not bad for an old guy, shaking loose a 25 year old forgotten memory :) Edit to add: the irony of the title just dawned on me Edited by Walton Street - January 20 2015 at 07:48 |

^ It's indeed ironic
I think it's another advantage of buying music: if I only listen through streaming I probably won't remember what I listened a few years later, it's easier to search in my collection

Nope. That one's one of three of those (the Opeth and Sigh ones being the other two) I've not heard. It's good, I hope.

I'm very unfamiliar with them myself, so it probably wouldn't be of much help to you , but I'll gladly give you my thoughts on it when I've heard it.

bought 2 tape decks at a thrift shop because my 2 had died. Bought a Sony autoreverse for $5 and a technics dual deck for $20. (they price by weight!) The sony looked like hell but cleaned up as good as new. Started to listen to mixed tapes I made 25 years ago and they sound like they were made yesterday :)
