Roger Waters

one could put it down to bitterness..if he wasn't so damn right about it LOL  Glimour was never a particularly gifted songwriter. Roger was (post Syd) the creative center of the group. Remove him and what do have ... an album in which RATT trashes anything and everything off of.

Sure, he's basically right but AMLOR is much better than the Final Cut and all solo Waters other than Amused to Death imo. Waters was the center of gravity in the band but the main problem was that Floyd were long since out of ideas by that point. Also, I never had the impression that Waters was ever the main musical force in the band.

Start the revolution!  67 votes for Ratt . . . I mean Floyd.

I never heard any of those on the radio (or anywhere), and I only listen to those stations when they are playing in public places. Nice songs though Smile

Your thought about AMLOR are mine about TFC: using the success of The Wall to collect cash by releasing a compilation of its worst kind of tracks. I can't stand that album... or any post-Floyd Waters' solo album Ermm

LOL be that as it may...my credibility was long lost... the cost of being a tongue in check poster.. half of what I say is intentionally bullsh*t..intended to provoke and stimulate  the other half unintentionally so LOL

the point is... it is still a better song than anything off of AMLOR... it isn't progressive.. it doesn't pretend to be. Unlike AMLOR.. which was just a sellout and a cash grab.. not to mention an album everyone involved with had NO idea how it would be received.. why? Because deep down.. they knew it sucked as well LOL  Great song, killer guitar solo. Fun.. and what was the Floyd album really?  Really?  It just was ...there.. it did and said nothing.

a good place to add the thoughts of an interested bystander about that album...

' I think it's very facile, but a quite clever forgery ... The songs are poor in general; the lyrics I can't quite believe. Gilmour's lyrics are very third-rate.'

Roger Waters
