recently, my band wrote a song called pandoras box. it was an instrumental, but i wrote lyrics to the song, and i decided to write a concept album using the song as a base, much as metropolis part one was to scenes from a memory. basically, its gonna be based around the story of pandora's box. flor those that dont know, the roman or greek gods send a box down to earth and its full of evil. a girl named pandora opens it and the evil is unleashed into the world. all that is left in the box is hope

this is the list of songs so far

part one: resentment

part two: terrestrail overture (instrumental)

part three: found

part four: questions (aka the original pandora's box)

part five: plan

part six: unleased

part seven: saved

opinions on song names or if i need more or less songs?

i was uncool before uncool was cool.

What can I say? It's YOUR album.  I don't know what kind of music you make. And I have to admit I don't know that story so well. I have Latin in school and I've had Greek in the past, so I can tell you all about the Trojan war, or Cicero, but I'm not familiar with Pandora's box.

I can't really give you any suggestions but I know the story of pandora's box and it should be good material for your concept album.

Hope all goes well

Long live progression.

I'm curious, how do you plan on concluding this song?

talk to yourself, actually the best way to get critics over your job is leaving it a few days, and then retake it and hear it with amore conciuos mind. The names some times can be related with your mood and your lyrics, in any case, is your chance to be very creative, so try and investigate part of the non-common language of early middle ages (i mean old english) and experiment with those moods

I would suggest you NOT to do that, over-the-top cultural references sound a little bit too cliché in the prog world. Well, it's only my opinion, but I prefer good lyrics about everyday life's existential questions rather than pretentious litterature references...
Great shredding is cheddar cheese on a taco (Ron Thal).

There is always:

Use the theme of "Pandora's Box" in today's world, metaphorically.

Pandora can be anyone.

War, plagues(aids), starvation...........

Through it all we still got hope, right?

If you want a shocking ending, you could always end with evil triumphing over hope. mind you, it's not the most popular choice, but it would be cool
