I'd think you'd enjoy it. It really is for fans.. or students of music. There is a lot in there to digest, while the set list is not varied.. it never was with them... but how they play them.. the variations and different improvisations from show to show. and how they play off of each other is quite stunning. I often listen to the whole goddamn thing.. all 6 CD's in one setting.. just to fully appreciate it. A good trained ear can hear the difference between Dickies and Duane's Gold Tops... the same thing with the music. You can hear the changes in the same songs .. from set to set. Really an amazing performance and listening experience.

Speaking of the Allman Brothers I recently heard this great reggae (!) version of the much-covered Midnight Rider by Paul Davidson that was a hit in 1976 and is now getting some heavy rotation chez Cactus. |

took this album in with me to work... and sure enough on the drive in this morning.. once this song came on I looked down and found myself doing 60 in a 35.. whoops..
