I'm really going to enjoy this week.  I honestly don't care if it's petty or not.  Some are calling it karma or fate.  I call today's outcome 'perfect'. LOL  Let the memes start rolling in.

Like a buddy of mine said, how many guys were sitting in front of the TV doing stuff like "You are going to lose this game" (to the theme song naturally)

I think Packers O is much better than Seahawks, Rodgers is the better QB when healthy. But Seattle D is the freaking bomb.....that will be the game next week.
I think Seattle's offense is getting better every game. Carolina's defense is much better than GB's defense and the Hawks put up 30 against the Panthers. Practicing against the #1 defense has got to be helpful. Rodgers may be the better QB, but Seattle is the more complete team. Great defense beats great QB's. I think Seattle will be ready come Sunday.

No doubt.....We are a Saints house but Hawks are #2 rooting team, good for our economy and makes everyone happy here Big smile.

Take that goof by Cam away and we have a game with Carolina......I was actually surprised Carolina hung in there. In some ways wish it were Dallas, I'd rather beat a healthy QB than one with a semi-flat tire.......Especially in Rodgers who can move so much better than Romo.

Not complaining at all, as I prefer watching the Packers to Dallas....but...that sure looked like a catch to me.  Anyone agree with the call on the field?   Or do all of think the overrule was the right call?   Just curious.

Hey Jim... At first glance, it does look like a catch, but if I understand the rule the way it is written on a catch that touches the ground before "control" is maintained and the ball moves it is ruled an incomplete pass.  Others in here may clarify that if I missed something or misquoted.  That rule came to light from a Lions play a while back.  I think the call was correct based on the way the rule is understood even though it looked like a catch. Wacko

Now the talking head discussion is whether or not he made a football move to advance the ball forward towards the goal line after making the initial "catch", which would then make that possibly be a fumble which he recovered.

Most of us being on the anti-Cowboy side of things think it was poetic justice for the bad call in the Lions game...LOL

I am not a cowboy fan. In all fairness, the ref who made the original call made the right call. I believe that ref had the best vantage point.

It has been universally understood, even by some Dallas fans, the call was the right call. It was by the book and like other calls we've seen. If you want to question the legitimacy of the rule, that's fair. In all honesty...I'd call that a catch. But the call was 100% right according to the rule, so there will have to be a discussion of the rule itself.

Glad to know it took happening to the precious beloved Cowboys for it to of course make newsLOL

So sounds like it was as I figured, it's come out Peyton has a strained Quad, and has for the past month, explaining his sudden drop in production. Guess you really can't hold it against the guy, but I really do wonder what this means for him. I have 0 doubt he can still play, we see that, but it's like Brett Favre now...once the body goes it's gunna be game over and his body can't hold up like it did. Impressive comeback for Manning, would be a shame to see it end like this, and my guess is he'll come back even if with another team. Though it would be wise to retire probably.

Peter King was nice and succinct:  "A bad rule, ruled correctly."

To me the replay got it wrong.....Should not have been reversed because there can be made an argument over whether he was extending the ball forward or not, the "football move". I believe he was and some may not, that is inconclusive so the call should have remained as on the field.

As far as I am concerned he had possession of the ball, took 2 steps fell and lost the ball, fumble, which he recovered anyways.

Every receiver is taught to extend the ball when anywhere near the 1st down marker or the goal line....

^Yep, the ref was right on top of the play and made the right call. It would be interesting to hear from the ref who made the original call.

I agree. He is apparently owed a lot of money and being as competitive as he is I can't imagine he'd want to leave the game with this performance as his last.

But John Fox won't be there.

Exactly. I think most people would agree that it should be a catch, but as the rule stands now it isn't a catch. It's a rule the refs have been pretty consistent with since the Megatron incident. Players seem to be adapting towards it as well.

I suspect it will be discussed in the next owners meeting, but I suspect it will stay for a little bit longer.

Yeah, can't argue it was to the letter of the rules.....just sucks when a great play is overruled in the booth....I have mixed feelings about the replay

Apparently someone from the Lions trolled the Cowboys website with a "we know that feel" comment.
