They played RIO in Carmaux in '12, they were the lead in before Magma on the Saturday & were stunningly good. |

Sweet! I'll admit D&F hasn't slid too far up my list of TP albums, but I'm always excited to hear more from them.

Going to be placing a wayside order in the near future to caught up on what I've missed this year ... what are the must have albums from this year?

^Thanks for the list! Have the Knifeworld, Gong, Swans and Happy Family already. I wish I had grabbed UZ earlier but I delayed because of the price...now it seems much harder to find for a decent price.

Yeah, nice for them, but I'm currently living in Paris: a trip to Carmaux is either a 8 hour train trip, or a 12 hour car trip. This is why I hope for them playing near Paris. OR... Since I'm planning to relocate myself to the south of France, I could try to organise RIO concerts in Marseille and its nearby towns. |

^ I think in Marseille, you would be much closer to Carmaux than you would in Paris, no?

Not sure at all. From what I read on the website of the SNCF (the French railways), the Marseille-Carmaux trip could last from 5 to 7 hours. Gosh. |

Dear God, THEY came all the way from Denver Colorado!! I've flown in from the USA the last 4 years for RIO, last year I flew to Paris, saw the Soleil Zeuhl Festival, drove from Paris to Carmaux, then flew back to the USA. Sorry if I don't have much sympathy, with these types of bands you have to be prepared to go to them (or as close as they get to you). You want them to come to your place and then complain that they don't when there's a history of no-one showing up. Marseille looks like it's 4 hours, if you make there in the future I'll buy you a pint. It's a great festival. Edited by Nogbad_The_Bad - November 30 2014 at 15:09 |

Agree Nogbad. I would certainly travel more for my RIO if I didn't have so many family/work/financial commitments! As a result, most of the bands I have yet to see live - so still something to look forward to.
