For every band that eventually breaks into my Top 5-10 favorites of all-time i go through a binge phase.

Most recently, The Smiths. While i still listen to them regularly, when i got initially hooked - i would listen to their DISCOGRAPHY practically daily.

So yes there are times when i listen to albums daily. And if not the entire album, chunks of them - like Interpol's Turn on the Bright Lights. I'll listen to each half every often, but it's been a while since i did the entire thing at once.

I listen to some albums a lot but none of them everyday. It just depends on the type of album.

I wake up everyday with a cup of coffee and listen to a boot of  Phil Ochs doing a NYC radio broadcast from 1965. It's like a prayer and prepares me for the day's BS. Crazy, huh?

I very rarely listen to the same album on back to back days let alone every day.  Usually if I listen to an album back to back it is because it is in my car CD player and I have passengers so I don't change out the CD immediately after it ends.

But possibly not as Ochs knew what people were up against in their day to day lives.

Too bad. He was a songwriter that was literally 50 years ahead of his time and he knew it.

Did you listen to the video I posted of them? If not their new album is kind of like Nick Cave meets Joy Division meets Bauhaus meets Velvet Underground. Really cool stuff and only second to To Be Kind for my AOTY. Perfect explorable counterpart to TBK's once-a-month-ness.
Oh yeah, ok, I remember that now.  Yes, I did listen to that.  I just forgot who it was.

It least it wasn't the Glory of Love by Peter Cetera.

Thom Hell is probably the most remarkeble tunesmith of the 2000s, able to knit 60s. 70s, 80,.90s and 2000s in a unique art pop/rock fassion

It's rare that I listen an album every day.  I remember when I first heard Ariel Pink's Haunted Graffiti (Before Today was the album), I listened to the whole album 3 times in a row, then went home and bought downloads of everything I could find by him, and listened to nothing but those albums for at least 2 weeks.  I was completely ga ga over it.  Still am, in a way.

More recently, I rediscovered Belle and Sebastian's 2009 album "The Life Pursuit" after owning and ignoring it for a couple of years.  It was kind of my perfect pop album for a while, and I probably played it once or twice a day for a week or so.

In fairness, it's a good song but the big 80's sounding production does it no favors.
