I don't have high hopes since it is coming from material written around 20 years ago. The Division Bell is definitely not one of my favorites.

I like all I've heard so far. I just hope they feel like "full song" instrumentals and not brief mood setters like on More or Obscured. But the sound is fantastic.

For those in the UK...

Chris Evans played a track 'Louder Than Words' in full on the Radio 2 breakfast show this morning.

For those interested in hearing it, I'm sure you can listen back to the show on the Radio 2 website later today.

Radio Rock Rome has put it on air just after the new John de Leo. A great morning
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Hahaha. No, I posted a link but it didn't work so I took it down. I also saw that Kazza3 had already posted one.

Listening now... So what do others think? Right now, at the 3:00 mark, I quite like it. I feel a guitar solo coming on...

On my 2nd listen now. Did Gilmour just say "diss"? Hah. So catchy though.

3rd listen: The melody is really gorgeous. Love that high-pitched sound that comes in at times. BUT: Is this it? It feels like the track should go on, and vocals should re-enter after the solo. Please don't let this be the complete version.

^ "others" like it well, too. What some of the others are being slightly ungrateful about is that the album is spread over 2 LPs. Interferes with the listening habits of those who started out in the 70s: 20-25 minutes of joy, followed by a short physical exercise, followed by another 20-25 minutes of joy.

Does anyone know what the total playing time may be?

I'm wondering what the playing time for "Louder Than Words" is - I hope it's longer than that 4 min. clip I just heard.

BTW, is there a forum where people are discussing it? Reddit perhaps or somewhere else?

No it's edited down by at least 2 minutes.

I've listened to it four times now and it's growing the way every goods song does. And it's wonderfully Gilmourish.

Here's a nice interview from Belgian tv. http://deredactie.be/cm/vrtnieuws/videozone/nieuws/cultuurenmedia/MV-ruw_141009_ruw_Pink_Floyd

Cheers for all the information. I'm really happy to know that the track is longer than the 4:30 clip I heard. Can't say how I'll feel about it tomorrow or in a week, but right now I really like it.

It's getting harder to tell David Gilmour apart from Mike Keneally.
