I'm not sure I'm on board yet, but I always give Kayo Dot plenty of chances to sink in, because it's always worth the effort.

Kayo's grooves and masterful setting of tone just blows me away.
The opener has me grabbed already..

Good stuff. I like this one way better than Hubardo, even though it has a rather strong 80's feel.
The last track is magnificent.

Excellent album. I'm a bit shocked he's written an album that doesn't make much use of dissonance and is still hugely engaging.

Ordered this on CD. Good price too. Haven't gotten the last couple as no (reasonable) CD release.

I was going to wait to listen to it til the CD came, but I gave in. I've been listening to it while I walk around, and it is phenomenal. I can't wait to let it sink in.

I'll take the unpopular view of saying...yikes.
Some good moments throughout (particular tracks 1 and 5) but overall not really a shining moment here. And things like the second and fourth song are just terrible.
Ironically I'll be able to buy this one and I don't know if I want to.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Really?? I respect the opinion (it's definitely an oddball album) but I have to totally disagree with you. I even think the second song is a highlight.

This comes quite near to what I would say about Hubardo.

It's pretty cool if you dig '80s post punk/darkwave kind of stuff, which has been growing on me recently.
