Pretty ordinary list for anyone into Avant, Zeuhl, Italian, Krautrock, Fusion or Canterbury. I guess this is what you get when you ask people for their top 10's.

......damn. surprised at some of the places that some of the albums got to, #1 not being one of them. fun fact: the whole prog mag list is book-ended by a Yes album (Drama and 100 and Close to the Edge at #1). weird, huh? anyway, i also noticed they counted Sgt. Pepper as a prog album (the first one i bet lol), and i would have put that as my favorite prog album ever (as it is just in general) in cases like these.

Agreed. They (Prog magazine) seem to focus on English singing performers only, as Harmonium is also missing.

As I'm moving to the Outer Hebrides in a week, I am getting rid of a lot of stuff, including my collection of prog magazine. Does anyone here want them? CDs included. Almost every issue from April 2009 up to a few months ago.

Must be collected from my flat in East London.

edit:
I gave them all to my local charity shop.

They must get their act together, Scotty :)
Once bands send them albums to review they email back saying that if one pays a sum of around 300 pounds that these bands would be more visible on the magazine, thus beside the prospect buyers of the magazine all over the world, they clearly promote bands who have deep funds, thus not necessary an unbiased approach like they used to have, turning this all into what we tend to avoid aka the corporate pop marketing suits. Ouch big hug to you tho'! Hug xxxx

I do have a love/hate relationship with this mag, not least because of the obvious nature that gave rise to the comment above.
