Topic: Heroes vs Supernatural vs Smallville vs Merlin Posted: September 14 2014 at 05:50 |
Four series of various pros and cons, i like them all from various reasons, Heroes is very cool, and downer to Earth to most superhpowerd hero flicks, takes the earthyness of Watchman to a more lighter yet still gritty and dark.
Supernatural is also very dark and full of gritt, but also humorous and full of bravado.
Smallville and Merlin is selebrating two of western cultures grand archetypes, the brave Knight, Superman and the grand old man (or the yong man in Merlin), cool twists on tales told in 1000 ways, so New take s is always taken With happiness.

Supernatural for me.....I watched all of them but the Winchesters kicked ass and the show was a hoot.
Heroes comes in second for me then Smallville and Merlin.

Supernatural for me too, it's a lot of fun. Every season ending episode ends with Kansas' Carry On My Wayward Son.

Don't know, either 3 or 4. I seam to be in the minority that doesn't think that series 1 was the peak.

Heroes had an excellent first season, even if it started going downhill from there (the second season finale was astounding though). I absolutely can't stand Smallville, and Supernatural is very meh (I've never watched Merlin though), so my vote goes to Heroes.

For me, it's no contest: Supernatural. The problem with that show is that it really only found its footing around the 3rd season, or perhaps late in the 2nd season. You really have to persevere before it starts to pay off. I rank it up there with The X Files and Buffy - and it riffs on both of those.

Brilliant tongue in cheek show about 2 brothers fighting the forces of evil on earth.
Been on 10 years now with the new season....

The first 4 (or so) Supernatural seasons. Before it bit off more it could chew with all that "end of the world" bs and tried to make it an emotional sitcom. I love the random creepy episodes that build on folktales and urban legends. Some of the later ones are ok, but it's the great minority.
