I wouldn't mind being into that.  Perhaps I'll check it out.  Anything described as "avant" automatically gets my attention.  Even used clothing.

edit: hey I think I remember this.  I'd totally forgotten about it but it rings a bell.  sounds cool.  I like the weird voices.

It's not totally weird but it is on the avant side. There's a strong Crimson vibe with superb screaming Frippian guitars and a saxophone assault with an avant touch.

I usually like to recommend one or two tracks but utube only offers the whole album, so check out the first two tracks (oh and don't be alarmed by the black metal screams, it's only for a brief moment Smile)

I'd jokingly call these Teutons the thinking man's Manowar if that title wasn't already reserved for Virgin Steele. Epic traditional heavy metal that shows an absolutely impressive level of ambition in terms of songwriting, both in compositional complexity and the lyrical insight into the history of esoteric religious traditions.

Russian doom metal with lyrics about Norse mythology and Viking lore, to be honest I think they pull it off better than most Scandinavian groups do. Really evokes the feel of a different time and place. I have no idea if they have the same type of ultranationalist political agenda as most Eastern European pagan metal artists.

Kimbra - The Golden Echo

On the fence as to whether I actually like this quirky pop album or not, but I gotta say that the bass guitar playing on more than a few of these songs isn't just busy, but occasionally really busy. Not something I usually notice regarding this sort of thing.
