MARTIN NEWELL - "The Greatest Living Englishman" (1993)

Andy Partridge produced it, and gets equal billing on the cover, but this is very much a Newell album, an underground figure given an overdue opportunity to put out a high profile album after toiling in obscurity for over 10 years.  And a fine effort it is.

Cool Beat was the first King Crimson album I heard and I've been hooked ever since. Of course, my favorite period for Crimson is the 70s, but I do love those 80s albums.

Thumbs Up Such an outstanding album, but from Hemispheres to Hold Your Fire, I have absolutely no complaints.
