Today, 50 years ago, conductor icon Pierre Monteux died in America. One of the most important and distinguished maestros of the whole 20th Century.

RIP Robert "Bob" Moog, inventor of the Moog & Minimoog synthesizers as well as the theremin (at age 14 i tell ya!!!!) who passed away on this day 9 years ago after being diagnosed with brain cancer back on April 28 of that year.
